Question: Should We Love Only Krishna?

Is it true that only God, Sri Krishna, is the ever-companion in this whole universe and all other human associations do not last forever? So should we love only the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna as our permanent companion and not anyone else?

Yes, it is a fact that we have only constant companion, Lord Sri Krishna. He travels us with in this world perpetually as the Supersoul and in the spiritual world He is always present in His original form. Regarding others, it is confirmed as follows in the Srimad Bhagavatam we do not stay with together with our friends and family members:

"Many planks and sticks, unable to stay together, are carried away by the force of a river's waves. Similarly, although we are intimately related with friends and family members, we are unable to stay together because of our varied past deeds and the waves of time."

And it is also a fact that we should give all of our love exclusively to Krishna. This is how one becomes perfect in love. This is perfect because just as when you the water the root of a tree all the leaves and branches become nourished, in a similar way when you give your love to Krishna, who is the root of all existence, your love is then perfectly distributed to all living beings in all planets and universes. By giving all of your love to Krishna you thus become the perfect lover of all living beings.
